Extra Curricular

At Morley Place we offer a variety of After-School Clubs and remain one of the few schools where they are free of charge. Our aim is to provide opportunities to extend children’s learning and experience sports & activities that might otherwise be unavailable to them. The clubs are also great for developing interpersonal skills and qualities such as respect and team work. All clubs are run by fully qualified and DBS checked staff, including Teachers, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and ‘Active Regen’ Sports Coaches.

Letters are sent out individually for each club, with a permission slip to sign children up for a half-term block of sessions.

For Parent’s convenience, a full After-School Clubs timetable is sent home each half-term (and included on the website), that summarises all of the key information needed in order for clubs to run smoothly. It includes dates of first and last sessions, year groups involved, which staff run the club, start /finish times and where to collect children from. All of our clubs will run from the end of the school day and start at 2.50p.m. Whilst Reading / Maths Club finish each Tuesday at 3.30p.m, all other clubs finish at 3.50p.m, unless otherwise stated. If there are special circumstances whereby a club has to be cancelled, we will always inform you as soon as possible, via text message or phone call.
